First Steps Toddler Class Needs a Coordinator!

The Children’s Ministry is looking for a dedicated individual to overlook and coordinate the First Steps Toddler class. This class is currently split into two sections (2yrs and 3yrs of age). Penny Ray is a full time teacher for the 2yr old section during the EKG hour. The rest of the class is on a monthly rotation. This department uses Gospel Light’s Baby Beginning Curriculum that is based off monthly themes and with the involvement of hands on centers. Any individuals that are interested are to contact Mandy Turner.

TeamKIDs Meet Again on January 7th!

Our lesson on Jan. 7th will be on "The Courage to Withstand Peer Pressure". The kids will learn that it is more important to trust in God and follow Him than to be influenced by peers. They will learn that God's way is always best! Our Bible material is "The Twelve Report on the Promised Land" Numbers 13.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas to all the families and friends of GBF! I hope and pray that you and your family will find joy, peace, and hope as your reflect on the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ. May your family be blessed this Christmas Season and through out the upcoming new year!

A few reminders.......
1) Sunday services will remain on the same schedule during the Christmas break. Family Worship at 9am and EKG hour is at 10:30am. Please join us!
2) TeamKID will not meet over the break. The next TeamKID meeting will be Dec. 7th.
3) The Orphan Shoe donation deadline is Jan. 14th. Please see the side of the blog for more information.
4)CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES for the WHOLE FAMILY will be on December 24th 5pm.

Sometimes we get so excited about the Word of God, we have to express it in dancing.......

**Special Night At TeamKID** Dec. 17

It is a "special" night at TeamKID this week. Don't forget to wear your pajamas and slippers, and be prepared for a wonderful birthday party celebration for Jesus!

This week the children will learn that God has special plans. They can have opportunity to understand that they can do their part for God if they listen to Him and follow Him like Mary did.

Meet and Mingle with the Residents at Hilltop

All families are invited to join us on Sunday, December 21st at Hilltop Haven Nursing Center for a special visit with the residents. We will meet at the dining area at 5pm. During this time we will visit with the residents as they finish up dinner time. Books and games will be provided. After an hour of mingling, we will conclude by singing a couple of Christmas songs. We will dismiss in plenty of time for those interested in joining the church wide Christmas caroling that will begin at 6:30.

TeamKID Meeting Dec. 10

This week at TeamKID we will learn about having the Courage to Follow God's Commandments...The kids will learn that God gives them commandments because He loves them and wants to keep them safe and free from harm......
Don't forget to bring activity sheets, mission money, and some friends to your next meeting! Extra activities sheets are posted on the bulletin board outside the TeamKID room.
